BMG Getting Organized For
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011
Once again the time has come to devote some ever-increasing time to pre-show planning and execution in preparation for maximum success at the largest construction show in the western hemisphere. We believe it will become the premiere show globally this trade show cycle because many could not make it to bauma as planned.
Facts & Details:
- BMG has worked for clients for seven shows. As of today, BMG is working with nine different manufacturers.
- BMG will exhibit also for the fourth time. Our conference room and presentation capabilities will be available to all clients.
- BMG attended the pre-show meeting in Las Vegas at no cost to clients so we can all be up to speed.
- BMG has teamed up for the third time with tradeshow pro Brian Crammer of GES for most of the many needs we will all have. This approach results in all of us receiving the attention and collective cost savings typically available to large exhibitors.
- BMG has locked down a hotel agreement with Royal Resort (within walking distance of the show) for $72.00 per night, taxes included.
- BMG is already moving quickly on booth designs, pre-show marketing and promotional opportunities, show deadline scheduling, show-related new product launches and numerous other related efforts.

You can count on these people to keep you informed of the numerous upcoming deadlines and assist with the paperwork as desired. They can also advise you wisely regarding all the hundreds of opportunities and services that spring up before the show—some produce results, many others don’t.
Since the Exhibitor Manual is only available online, the team will send out Show Alerts once again, either within this BMG News To Use e-newsletter or as independent e-blasts.

Facebook: Is Your Private Information Protected?
If you are using Facebook for business or leisure, your privacy may be at risk. In December, the creators of Facebook made a series of controversial changes regarding the nature of its users’ privacy. They set certain information so that anyone can view it and so your profile can be found in a search engine. These new settings make you an easy target for identity theft and could potentially harm your business and damage your reputation. If you have not recently updated your privacy settings, there is a good chance your information is unprotected. Follow these steps, recently updated by the creators of Facebook, to check your settings:
Personal Info, Status Updates, Picture & Video Settings:
- From your profile page, click the “Account” menu at the top right. Then click “Privacy Settings.”
- Click the “Friends Only” option on the left side of the page.
- After you have selected the “Friends Only” option, uncheck the box that reads “Let friends of people tagged in my photos and posts see them.”
- Once you are done, click “Apply These Settings” to save your changes.
Search Settings:
- From your profile page, click the “Account” menu at the top right. Then click “Privacy Settings.”
- Under “Applications and Websites” click “Edit your settings.”
- Next to “Public search” click “Edit Settings.”
- Uncheck the box that reads, “Enable public search.”
